See your defenses through an attacker’s eyes.

Objective-led adversary emulation to test how people, processes, and technology respond to realistic attack paths.

Overview

Red Team exercises combine controlled attack simulation with clear business objectives. Each engagement begins with written authorization, agreed targets, and rules of engagement so the exercise can measure real defensive performance without unnecessary disruption.

An assessment is time- and scope-bounded. Findings describe the tested conditions; they do not establish the absence of all vulnerabilities or guarantee a security outcome.

What the engagement examines

  • Objective-based attack scenario design
  • External and internal attack path simulation
  • Identity, endpoint, and network control validation
  • Detection and escalation effectiveness
  • Debrief and prioritized defensive improvements

The work in practice

Start with a specific objective, such as access to a designated test record or validation of an agreed business boundary. Decide which starting conditions are assumed and which must be demonstrated. The engagement should trace not only the authorized path but also the observations and decisions it produced. If a step is simulated for safety, the report must say so. A successful exercise ends with a defensible account of what happened, not a claim that every possible attack has been attempted.

Useful outputs. Not vague assurances.

  • Agreed rules of engagement and objectives
  • Chronological attack narrative and evidence
  • Risk-ranked findings and defensive gaps
  • Executive summary and technical remediation roadmap

What you receive

  • Validate more than isolated vulnerabilities
  • Identify gaps between tools and response workflows
  • Turn attacker behavior into practical improvements

Clear decisions. Traceable delivery.

Scope & authorize

Agree on objectives, owners, boundaries, exclusions and the evidence needed to answer the question.

Review & validate

Perform the authorized work and record observations. Escalate critical findings through the agreed channel.

Explain & prioritize

Connect technical observations to business impact, practical actions and remaining uncertainties.

Handover & follow up

Review findings with your team and agree on any implementation or retest as a separate, traceable step.

Insights

Penetration testing, Red Team or Purple Team: choose the right assessment.

Choose by the decision you need to make, not by the most impressive service name. Scope, evidence and defensive readiness matter more than labels.

Read Full Guide

Before we get started.

Service scope, delivery terms and availability are agreed individually.

How is Red Team different from penetration testing?

Penetration testing focuses on finding and validating specific weaknesses. Red Team exercises pursue agreed objectives across an environment and also evaluate detection, investigation, and response.

Will testing disrupt business operations?

The engagement scope and safety constraints are agreed in advance. Techniques are selected to minimize operational impact, and disruptive activity is excluded unless explicitly authorized.

What is needed before an engagement starts?

A confirmed scope, authorized owners, relevant access and agreed operating constraints. We do not begin intrusive testing based only on a general enquiry.

Will an assessment automatically change production systems?

No. Assessment and implementation are separate permissions. Any change requires approval, validation and an appropriate recovery plan.

Connected expertise.
